• The list of qualified candidates is announced and updated on website.
• CHANDIGARH DEFENCE ACADEMY conducts a session for interview in mid of February for the final selection of students.
• The commencement of new session is by the 3rd week of April.
Candidates must be

• Appearing/Passed class 10th (CBSE, ICSE or any other state board)
• Syllabus - NCERT 10th Class
• Subjects includes - English, Math, Science.
• Offline/ Pen Paper Based MCQ Test (Note: Online in Exceptional cases)
• One-third Negative marking for wrong answer.
• Test centres available in Chandigarh / Mohali / Hisar.

SCHOOLING :
• Admission is arranged for cadets in the best schools of Chandigarh/Mohali where their is best experienced and outstanding teachers.
• Study material, stationery and other reauirements of students need to be arranged by parents in advance else provided by academ on payment basis. Parents ned to arrange two sets of school uniforms for students each of Summer and winter season.
• CDA make sure to priorize the completeion of NCERT syllabus as early as possible with revision so that maximum concepts and doubts are clear of students as Physics/Chemistry/Maths is subject which needs lots of practice.Teachers guide them by practicals for quick and better learning.
• After completion of NCERT, CDA on next level guides students for Maths, General ability tests i.e. english, physics, chemistry, biology, history, civics, geography, ecenomics alongwith curren affairs.
• Special emphasis is laid on personality development, confidence building, communication skills, soft skills. Accomplished Defence Officers shares knowledge based experiences. Cadets are provided CDA uniforms.
• CDA helps cadets in realizing their strength and weakness and make them face SSB with confidence with Officers like qualities i.e. PODSCOR – Planning, Organising, Dynamism, Social Adjustmnent, Co-operation, Reasoning Ability.
• Regular fitness and training programmes are conducted for mental and spiritual good health. Cadets are regularly given yoga and meditation session, taken for trekking and other fitness exercises
• CDA also ensures the effective preparation of cadets for CBSE Board Exams, NDA and other competitive exams (IIT JEE – Mains/ Advance |CET| NATA|AGRICULTURE|PARA-MEDICAL, etc)

CDA conducts Interview session/ SSB guidance sessions also regularly. Its started from the very start of session with various interactive session and under guidance of our experieced team Commander Chahal & Capt K K Malhotra and panel of Army Officers and experts on following skills;

• Body language
Our team is from the SSB recommending team and hold experience of 26 years being part of SSB.They give precious guidance and suggestions to cadets to build the Officer like Qualiies for attending SSB. SSB is covered in 2 stages:
Stage 1: Screening Test that comprises Verbal and non-verbal tests and Picture Perception & Discussion Test (PPDT).
Stage 2: Psychological Test comprises Thematic Apperception Test (TAT), Word Association Test(WAT), Situation Reaction Test (SRT) and SelfDescription Test (SD). Group Testing Officers Test comprises GD, GPE, PGT, HGT, IOT,Command Task, Snake race/Group ObstacleRace, Individual lecture and FGT. The final phaseof stage 2 is Personal Interview & conference meet.
CDA have its own holiday/ vacation calendar which is updated on website and informed to paents timely by CDA Co-ordinator.
CDA understands the concern of parents/guardians for students So it ensures the arena safety and security as its under 24*7 survelience and Warden/ Security Person keep regular check on movements and activities. Anything found suspicious or strange is immediately taken into conceerned and resolved.
